Tyra Banks Kicks ANTM Co-Stars to the Curb

Cycle 19 of Americas Next Top Model will be the start of a new era for the show. Nigel, Miss J (J. Alexander), and Jay Manuel have all lost their jobs on the show, as reported by Page Six.

Nigel Barker was the photographer & permanent judge, while Miss J was the runway trainer, as well as a judge. Jay Manuel played a role as the show's creative director. Each of them have been on the show since the beginning, in 2003.

It's being said that the producers are looking to bring in fashion bloggers & insiders with a strong web presence.

Executive producer Ken Mok said in a statement: 

“Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the ‘Top Model’ family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.”

Even though I haven't watched Top Model in a few seasons, I'm still a fan of the show. Tyra really has huge shoes to fill, I'm not sure fashion bloggers are going to be as knowledgeable as these professionals. But, who knows? New faces might be exactly what this show needs!
